Imagine how easy it would be to manage the health of our pets if they could come to us whenever they weren’t feeling well or had suffered some type of injury and simply explain their symptoms or show us where it hurt. Then, all we’d have to do is determine which treatment would be best to address the problem at hand.

Unfortunately, because animals cannot verbally communicate like this, diagnosing and treating potential health problems can be quite a challenge. Especially when there is little to no outward evidence that a problem exists. That’s where veterinary diagnostics come into play. These invaluable tools allow us to get a glimpse below the surface of the skin to learn what’s happening inside your pet’s body so that we can identify, diagnose and treat whatever is ailing them in a timely manner.

Teller Park Veterinary Service offers a broad spectrum of diagnostic services to help manage the ongoing health of our patients. We’ll start with a comprehensive physical exam, and then turn to technology to help us get to the bottom of the problem as quickly and accurately as possible. Our diagnostic services range from routine blood work and urinalysis to more advanced techniques, like x-rays and ultrasound imaging.

Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, which allows us to run a wide variety of tests and achieve fast and accurate results. This is especially important for illnesses and injuries for which a timely diagnosis is critical. In many cases, we are able to have answers for you before you and your pet even leave the exam room. The sooner we can diagnose and treat the problem at hand, the better the chances of a positive outcome for your cherished companion.

For those cases in which we feel that the expertise of a specialist is warranted, we have a board certified radiologist that visits our clinic regularly, and can also provide referrals to local specialists with whom we have developed long-term working relationships. This supports our ultimate goal of ensuring that our patients always receive the best possible care in every situation, even if that means working with someone outside of our clinic.

If your pet has been acting a bit out of sorts lately and you’re concerned that he or she may not be feeling well, don’t hesitate to call us. We’ll get to the bottom of whatever is ailing your animal companion and have them back on the path to good health again before you know it!
